This shows the driver side front overrider and the oval nose protector. The overriders mount via a pair of 3/4" posts that attach through the body to the nose-frame of the chassis. In this image the oval nose protector is just being held in place temporarily with a pair of hose clamps around the lower posts. In all the kits I've seen, this oval piece is fastened directly to the overriders. One is supposed to drill a pair of holes into the overriders and bolt the pieces together. I don't like that idea. Instead, I drew up a couple drawings of some "bumper brackets" that clamp to the posts on either side and provide a separate mounting fixture for the nose protector. A friend with a milling machine accepted the challenge of turning these out of a block of billet aluminum.
