Here's the real bumper bracket after all machining is done, but prior to final finishing. The nose of the car slopes forward at a 16 degree angle, so the final bracket does as well - this holds the nose guard parallel to the oval nose opening. The initial design had this piece working as a pair of "C" clamps with recessessed set screws. My machinist buddy came up with the idea for an internal / hidden clamp system. The two "plugs" and cap screws on the right in the picture above go into the holes on the side of the bracket and clamp against the overrider mounting posts. After the oval nose guard is attached these clamps are hidden from view.
