Our Housing

Alys has rented a house to serve as the interim Romania location of Stephen's House. There is another co-located house that she uses for her residence while there. We stayed with Alys while there.
Alys' rental house has two bedrooms (one on each end of the house), with a kitchen / dining / living room in between. This bedroom has two twin beds.
The kitchen, dining, living room area in Alys' house. The house is owned by a woman who owns one of the lumber yards in the area - so the house is finished very nicely in wood cabinets, floors, wall trim, etc.
Alys' rental house.
The Stephen's House "family" is in the house adjacent to Alys'. Hers is nearer the road (on the right in this picture) - their's is set back behind hers.
This is just a neat old barn being remodeled behind the "Romanian Stephen's House".
This is an old barn in the front portion of Otto and Elizabeth's property (the fence we worked on is at the back of this property). The initial plan for this mission trip was to "remodel" some of the rooms in the barn to make them usable for handicapped facilities - physical therapy, meetings, etc. However, the foundation of the barns is in very poor shape, so the plan is to take this down.
The old barn - there is still debate on how to layout this property for the new church. One thought is to build the new church on the site of this barn and use the rear of the property for outside gatherings. The other thought is to put the church in the rear and use this space for parking.
A look at the condition of the barn foundation.
A view from the back of the property (standing by the fence), looking to the front of the property. Otto and Elizabeth's house sits in the middle. Church in the back? or church in the front? That is the question.
The front half of Otto and Elizabeth's property. The old barn is on the left behind the tree and up past the red van.
