Installation Issues
Microsoft has now introduced "Safety Zones" in more recent releases of Windows.
This puts a "tag" on files that come from the internet or other computers - a tag that often
must be removed prior to using the files on one's computer.
Whether directly associated with this, quite often one might encounter an error while attempting
to install any particular application - if, when installing one of these programs, you get an error that looks something like this:
and/or see an error message stating "Deployment and application do not have matching security zones,"
getting the application to install can be frustrating. Here's what I've found seems to work:
- Uninstall any previous versions of the application.
- Remove the "tag" on downloaded files:
- For each of the downloaded / extracted files, right-mouse-click on the file and select "Properties"
- If there is a security note at the bottom of the popup check the "unblock" box and click "apply".
You may need to do this for all the files associated with the install.

- From the Windows command line (cmd) clear the Online Cache: "rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache"
- Reboot
- Re-try the install
